“Take care when driving today” this comes from East Region OPP who say that heavy rain and melting snow will mean lots of water on the roads.
OPP point out that this creates the potential for hydroplaning.
If you see water on the road ahead, slow down.
Keep your headlights turned on to increase visibility and ensure others can see you.
OPP also ask that people please watch for pedestrians. “They’ll be wet enough without someone driving through a huge puddle and causing a mini tidal wave.” they say.
