Two snowmobilers charged with multiple offences in Pembroke

OPP say that two residents from the region are facing ‘a slew of charges’ under the Motorized Snow Vehicle Act (MSVA) after an incident in Pembroke.

Mid-morning on Tuesday, patrol officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) OPP saw two Motorized Snow Vehicles (MSV) with modified exhausts driving what they deemed to be “carelessly” in Riverside Park in Pembroke.

OPP say that the drivers initially failed to stop for police but officers remained in the area and were able to stop them a short time later.

As a result of this incident the MSV drivers, both 27 and from the Pembroke area,  are each facing multiple charges including improper muffler, failure to stop for a police officer, careless driving, driving with no insurance and driving without a permit.

Both snowmobiles were towed by police and the drivers are scheduled to appear at Court in Pembroke on April 28.
