Hastings County Council approved the 2025 Budget at last weeks council meeting, giving the go-ahead to an operating and capital budget with an increase after growth of 4.67%.
The County will spend just over $222,897,924 this year on delivering its major services.
According to the county, key highlights of the 2025 Budget include investing in infrastructure, technological advancements, continued efforts to prevent and reduce homelessness, investments in the creation of available affordable housing, expansion of care at both long-term care homes’ and providing Children’s Services that are ‘inclusive and accessible’
Warden Bob Mullin says the county is looking forward to continuing to ensure priorities are achieved in the most ‘fiscally responsible manner possible’
