Jenny Mclean from North Hastings Children’s Services, host of the event, said the community welcome to learn more about what’s happening for area kids.
“We’re hosting an event at York River Public School and it’s for youth, parents, basically the community to come out & sign up for (mostly) sports activities. We’re calling it our ‘Activity Sign-up Night.”
Mclean said that several foundations that provide financial assistance will be at the event, giving families the chance to get to know more about the groups that help with covering costs.
“We are so grateful for all of the organizations that help out with the programs that we have in Bancroft and that help with North Hastings Children’s Services. Without them, we wouldn’t have these opportunities within the community.”
Activity Sign-up Night runs from 5-6:30 p.m.
