Police are investigating after a crash involving a pickup truck and an ambulance on Highway 28 South near Bancroft.
The collision happened just before 4 p.m. on Monday, south of Highway 118.
The driver of the pickup had to be freed from the vehicle by paramedics and was taken to hospital.
The ambulance involved was not carrying any patients and was returning to the station at the time.
The highway was shut down for several hours and reopened early Tuesday morning.
Bancroft OPP is still investigating.
