The Fling Into Spring clothing swap is happening tomorrow at York River Public school.
This is a chance for families to get some “new-to-you” clothes.
Organizer Jayde, from York River Parent Council, says she was excited to help facilitate this new event at the school.
“I got the idea from a school from my hometown, their school had great success with it, and I heard about it through my friend and I thought, ‘hey, this could be a great thing that we could do for the community here’. So I pitched it to the council and the staff. And they loved the idea, so we went with it,” she said.
The clothing “shop” is open from 4 to 7 p.m. at York River Public, where it will create a full shopping experience.
“There will be changerooms because it’s in the gymnasium, so people can come, bring your shopping bags, and shop around and see what you like.”
All clothing items will be free of charge.
