Planetarium experience returns to Barry’s Bay June 6

A pop-up planetarium is returning to Barry’s Bay on Friday, June 6.

The inflatable dome will host two shows at the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre.

A family-friendly show will run at 5 p.m., followed by a presentation for teens and adults at 6 p.m.

The dome offers a 360-degree, 4K projection experience of the stars, planets and universe. Organizers say seating is on an inflatable bench, but other accommodations can be arranged on request.

Tickets are limited and can be purchased in advance at the library.

The visit is part of Astronomy in Action’s 2025 Planetarium Tour across Ontario and is presented in partnership with the Barry’s Bay Recreation Committee and the Madawaska Valley Public Library.
