The fifth annual Fort Stewart Plant Sale is coming up this weekend in the Boulter Hills.
The sale is in support of the Carlow Mayo Public Library.
We spoke with organizer Celine who says the sale started in 2020 when she found herself with some extra plants on hand.
“We did a thing at the bottom of my driveway where you could donate money, essentially, for the plants that you pick up and it was really well received. So every year since then, we’ve grown and grown and people in the community contribute extra plants as well.”
Available plants will include things like peppers, greens, broccoli, basil and other herbs.
The plant sale takes place Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., at 985 Fort Stewart Road.
A limited supply of trays and boxes will be available. People are encouraged to bring their own if they have them on hand.
