NHDHA Completes $300,000 Pledge for Bancroft Hospital CT Scanner

The North Hastings District Hospital Auxiliary (NHDHA) has fulfilled its $300,000 fundraising pledge toward the purchase of a new CT scanner for the Bancroft Hospital.

The final $50,000 installment was presented on May 12, during the auxiliary’s general members meeting.

Donna Fedorov, president of the NHDHA, presented the cheque to Kim Bishop, chair of the North Hastings Fund Development Committee, alongside committee members Debbie Speck and David MacLeod.

The CT scanner has been a life-saving tool at the Bancroft Hospital since it’s arrival last winter, improving diagnostic services at the hospital, reducing travel for patients and providing quicker access to critical imaging.

The Back the Cat Campaign, led by Bishop, raised more than 3 million dollars to purchase and install the CT scanner.
