The municipality of Hastings Highlands is letting the public know that Mink Lake Road will be fully closed to all traffic on three upcoming dates to allow for culvert replacements as part of the ongoing Capital Construction Project.
The closures are scheduled as follows:
- May 28 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 6.7 kilometres from Highway 127
- May 30 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 8.3 kilometres from Highway 127
- June 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 4.5 kilometres from Highway 127
No traffic will be permitted through the work zones during the closure periods. Emergency services have been notified, and fire trucks will be strategically staged to ensure there is no disruption to emergency response.
The Fire Department is also recommending no burning activities during the closures due to limited fire response capabilities.
Officials note that additional short-term closures are expected in the coming weeks. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes and allow for extra travel time.
