Hastings County will see wage increases of four per cent annually over three years and their long-term disability premiums shifting from 100 per cent employee paid to a 50/50 split by 2027.
The bargaining agreement was negotiated throughout various dates in March and April, with conciliation support on April 28 and May 13.
“This settlement reflects a balanced and respectful negotiation process,” said Bob Mullin, Warden of Hastings County. “It ensures continued stability in county operations, recognizes the important contributions of our employees, and maintains long-term fiscal responsibility for our residents.”
The agreement covers the period from Jan. 1, 2025 to Dec. 31, 2027, and has now been ratified by both parties.
