OPP are reminding motorists to be patient and cautious as farmers take to the roads this spring.
“With fields to plow, seeds to plant and fertilizer to spread, farmers across eastern Ontario are moving large equipment between locations — often on the same roads used by everyday drivers,” said East Region OPP.
Police say drivers should watch for slow-moving farm vehicles, avoid crowding them and only pass when it is safe to do so.
“Sharing the road is essential this time of year,” the OPP said in a statement. “Give farm equipment the space it needs to operate safely.”
