Time is running out to buy tickets for Bancroft’s Catch the Ace fundraiser, with the first-ever draw happening on Thursday.
The popular progressive raffle is raising money for North Hastings Hospital Auxiliary, with proceeds going toward the purchase of a new X-ray machine — a critical piece of diagnostic equipment for the hospital.
Tickets can be purchased at several local businesses across Bancroft and surrounding communities, including Bird’s Creek Farm Supply, the Corner Cafe, Makin’ Waves Marine, McG’s Cakes, New To You, Royal Canadian Legion, Shoppers Drug Mart, Stedman’s, Tammy’s Family Hair Care and York River Meats.
In the Maynooth area, tickets are available at Linkie’s General Store and the Maynooth General Store.
In McArthur’s Mills, they’re sold at Cunningham’s General Store.
Draws are held at 3 p.m. every Thursday in the Corner Cafe of the professional building, with the jackpot growing until the ace of spades is found.
The hospital auxiliary says they hope the fundraiser will help meet rising demand for diagnostic imaging and reduce patient travel for essential care.
Full details and live draw results are available through the North Hastings Hospital Auxiliary’s Facebook page and website.
