“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family” BLR fire department shares social media statement

Brudenell, Lyndoch & Raglan Fire Department has released a message on Facebook speaking on recent events in Quadeville, in which an 8 year old girl was found injured in a densely wooded area.

The statement is below.

“On June 24th 2025 at approximately 12:28am  BLRFD was requested by OPP for assistance in extracting a injured 8yo girl from a dense wooded area in Quadeville. 12 personnel and 3 trucks responded. The patient was then transferred to county paramedics and transported to hospital with serious injuries. All emergency services worked tirelessly to treat the patient. In light of the events BLR Fire has chosen to not participate in all Canada Day activities and fireworks in the Municipality until further notice, out of respect for the family, community and our firefighters mental health. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. As this is an ongoing investigation by OPP no further details will be provided.”
