OPP seek witness in suspected animal attack in Quadeville, ask parents to ‘stay vigilant’ supervising children outdoors

The OPP investigation into an incident that left a young child with serious injuries in Quadeville continues.
Last Tuesday morning, officers responded to reports that a child had been found suffering from serious injuries. The child was brought to hospital and later a regional trauma centre. The OPP says the child remains in serious but stable condition.
Investigators are continuing efforts to identify the cause of the attack in consultation with the MNR and experts in animal attacks.
As part of the investigation, police are asking the public to help identify a potential witness who was in the area prior to the incident, with police saying they may have information that could assist the case.
He’s described as a 60-year-old-man with grey and white hair, possible white facial hair, and was last seen wearing a black leather jacket and white motorcycle helmet, and is the owner of a grey or black motorcycle. He used to live in the Killaloe or Bonnechere Valley area and is possibly from the U-S.
Police are reminding parents in the area to remain vigilant and keep their small children under close supervision while outdoors, adding animal traps  have also been set by the MNR as a precautionary measures. Anyone with information is asked to call the OPP or Crime Stoppers
