The Canadian Peace Museum in Bancroft held a volunteer day today, and renovations are well underway in their building.
Executive director Chris Houston said the museum has a 30-page plan from the museum planners group on how the space can be laid out and used.
He hopes to turn the plan into rendered graphics, which will give people a better idea of what the space will look like and assist with fundraising efforts.
Houston said renovations are almost complete on the archive room and the main hall, thanks to volunteers.
They are also working on a peace library and a multi-functional community space, as well as an outdoor space including a community garden and children’s playground.
Events coming up at the peace museum, including a meeting discussing all things bees next Monday, are available on their website.
