One man is dead and a woman is in hospital with life threatening injuries after a snowmobile crash. Haliburton OPP was called to Allen Lake, in Harcourt Park, early Sunday morning to investigate the collision. OPP determined that a 2010 Arctic Cat snowmobile had struck a tree near the shoreline. Police report that the man operating the snowmobile died at the scene while his female passenger was air lifted to a Toronto hospital. The names of the man and woman are being withheld until next-of-kin have been notified. An OPP technical collision investigator is continuing the investigation. Police say that it appears speed may have been a factor.
