Election Day is over, and a new Member of Parliament was named for the Hasting-Lennox and Addington riding.
Liberal candidate Mike Bossio clinched the seat with no more than 400 votes seperating him and Conservative candidate Darryl Kramp.
This came at the same time as a federal shift from the a Conservative majority to a Liberal majority.
Bossio says he is hopeful for the new Liberal government.
Despite his party’s platform, Bossio says he still intends to work hard for all Canadians.
