As flu season approaches, a new alternative to the traditional shot is being rolled out this year.
It comes in the form of a nasal spray.
Dr. Richard Shabas with Hastings Prince Edward Public Health says the new vaccine is available at most medical centres in the province.
He also says he hope doctors will focus on children aged 2 to 5, though youths aged up to 17 can get the new nasal spray.
