The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is making this province a better place to live, work and play in by investing in 22 not-for-profit and charitable organizations in the Quinte, Kingston and Rideau regions. Two of those grants were given to two Bancroft groups. The first, $15,000, goes to the Bancroft and District Chamber of Commerce to build a kitchen for the community use area of the newly renovated Train Station. The second grant of $193,000, to be paid out over three years, goes to the Bancroft Area Forest Industry Association to provide public education on sustainable living through the careful use of natural resources.
