A local group is encouraging people to join Operation Christmas Child.
The group is handing out shoeboxes that people are asked to fill with gifts for a child in need. People are asked to give toys, school supplies, and non-liquid hygiene items. They pack the items into a shoebox, and with a seven dollar donation, the package is delivered.
