Catholic teachers reach tentative deal with School Board trustees and provincial government

A tentative deal has been reached by the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board and the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association.

The Ontario Catholic School Trustee’s Association and the provincial government have agreed on potential terms with their teachers. Spokesperson for the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board, Laurie Morton says this would mean that all sanctions would also be lifted.

A ratification vote is still yet to come. If it passes, this will end all negotiations in the region until 2017.
