Canadian Blood Services needs to fill 30 more appointments for this afternoon’s blood donor clinic in Barry’s Bay.
The clinics come to town about once every two months.
Territory Manager Jennifer Heale says the national blood supply has decreased over the summer, so it needs to be built back up as we closer to the holidays. She says it’s more important than ever for people to donate at busy times in the year.
To see if you’re eligible to donate, you can visit blood.ca. Walk-in donations are also being accepted. The clinic is happening in the second floor hall of the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre today from 3:00pm to 8:00pm.
