The Hastings County Emergency Control group met on Wednesday, to support member municipalities who have declared emergencies because of recent flooding. Hastings County has deployed Social Services staff to assist with registering volunteers and providing assistance to evacuees. Paramedic Services are currently on standby. County staff has been attending emergency control group meetings for the City of Belleville, the Municipality of Centre Hastings and the Municipality of Tweed since April 10th. The County Emergency Control group will continue to meet as required. Warden Rick Phillips has committed the County’s continued support for any and all impacted municipalities and will respond as circumstances arise.
