A large youth oriented project is underway in Bancroft. Gwen Coish of the Bancroft Community Transit presided over the sod turning event last Thursday in Riverside Park. The project will see students from Fleming College’s construction trades training; build a sustainable building to house a canteen and rental shop, which will be co-operated by BCT and the North Hastings Youth in Action group. The town provided the use of the land and Loyalist College is providing services to the Flaming students. Pat Marcott of Fleming College will oversee the construction team and Ben Wadsworth is the Coordinator for the NHYIA.
