The Government of Canada has declared May 9th as the National Day of Honour to commemorate Canada’s military mission in Afghanistan, and to honour those who served and their families. A “Tribute Breakfast for the Families of the Fallen” is taking place in Ottawa on May 9th, and the “Soldier On” Afghanistan Relay, where a team of 19 will carry the last Canadian flag flown in Afghanistan, from Trenton to Ottawa over a six-day period will end.
