Peterborough County OPP is investigating an attempted arson near Marmora. They were called to a Preston Road trailer home where a witness employeed at a local business says two men poured a flammable substance onto some trailer tires. There was a brief fire, but it went out quickly. The suspects then fled. The investigating officers say the suspects had also been inside the trailer home, did serious damage and then spread a flammable substance inside the trailer, but no fire was set. A number of items were stolen from the trailer. Peterborough County OPP is seeking anyone with information about this attempted arson.
