The Apsley Lions Club wants to make your winter a little more fun.
That’s why it’s hosting the Apsley Winter Carnival. Starting at 9:00am on Saturday, there will be a number of free indoor and outdoor events, from a minor hockey tournament to face painting and a snow sculpture contest.
North Kawartha Mayor Rick Woodcock says the event is one of the big highlights of the year for the small community.
Although he is concerned it will rain on Saturday, Woodcock says he is hopeful for good weather.
