Mother Nature is finally being kind to some local snowmobile clubs.
That’s according to Maple Leafs Snow Skimmers President Stuart McDonald. He says, because of the significant snowfall this weekend, the club has been able to open some of its trails. That includes the trail which connects Bancroft to Algonquin Park.
But, McDonald says it’s important for riders not to get too anxious and forget about safety because the trails are open.
McDonald also reminds riders to stay on the trails as many of them go through private property.
McDonald says all the club’s trails should be open by the end of the week if the weather keeps cooperating. The Old Hastings Snow Riders has also been able to open some trails south of Bancroft. Click here to see the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs’ trail guide.
