Some local snowmobile clubs are urging riders to stay off trails.
Because of the recent mild and rainy weather, the Paudash Trail Blazers, the Maple Leaf Snow Skimmers, and the Old Hastings Snow Riders have had to close their trails.
Paudash Trail Blazers trails are closed indefinitely. Operations Manager Rob Knapton says the club doesn’t want anybody to get hurt on them.
Meanwhile, Maple Leaf Snow Skimmers President Stuart McDonald says the club’s trails are also slushy and icy, which could make them risky to ride on. McDonald says trespassing is also a concern for the club right now.
