Bancroft FC is looking for referees for the soccer season, and wants to help you get certified.
Director of Communications Jolene Windsor says there is a need for referees to help make sure that local youth can keep playing soccer in the area. Because of that, Windsor says the club will sponsor six people who are 16 years old and up to become referees for this season.
While everyone is welcome to sign up, Windsor says this could be a good opportunity for students looking for summer jobs. Volunteer referees are also needed. She says the club can sign-off on volunteer hours for high school students.
Windsor says ideal referees will be those who are willing to commit to keeping the sport alive in Bancroft.
Anyone interested in becoming a referee can find out more by clicking here, or by emailing [email protected]. Windsor says applications need to be in by April 15th because courses start in May.
