A weapons charge has been laid as a result of a domestic complaint. Bancroft OPP was called to a home in Hastings Highlands on Christmas Eve and were told during their investigation that a gunshot had been heard inside the home. Officers arrested a 40 year-old Hastings Highlands man at the scene and charged him with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He has a court date in Bancroft in mid-January. To protect the victim’s identity, the name of the accused will not be released.
