One of Bancroft’s most well-known and respected doctors is retiring.
Dr. Peter McEnery has spent the last 44 years of his career at North Hastings Family Health Team, and 2018 will be his last. McEnery is the Lead Physician at NHFHT, which has over 1300 patients across the town.
John O’Donnell, Chairman of NHFHT’s Human Resources Committee, says a doctor like McEnery is really one of a kind and he will be missed.
O’Donnell says McEnery will be continuing his personal practice, while Dr. Parambir Keila will be taking over as Lead Physician at NHFHT on an interim basis. He says making the transition smooth for patients is crucial in this process.
Dr. McEnery’s last day with North Hastings Family Health Team will be June 4th. He says serving as a Physician for so many years in Bancroft was a pleasure.
