After hearing of all the cuts at the head office of Tim Hortons, the Moose contacted our local franchise owner Mr. Glenn Keating to ask if there would be any effect here. Mr. Keating replied by e-mail that he spoke with head office and was told that the lay-offs were at departments that overlap with existing ones at Burger King, and that it is business as usual in all restaurants. Mr. Keating, who owns the two Bancroft locations and one in Barry’s Bay, is anticipating a good summer season and to that end expects to be hiring for the peak summer season at all three stores.
