UPDATE #4 – 09/23 – 1 PM: Hydro One reports there are less than 250 homes in Bancroft and the surrounding area without power. They expect to have power back to those homes by 6 PM Monday afternoon.
UPDATE #3 – 09/22, 10:30 PM: Hydro One is reporting that most of the homes in the Bancroft area that were without power, have power now. Less than 1,000 homes are without power now according to their outage map.
UPDATE #2 – 09/22, 8:00 AM:Â Hydro One now estimates the power will be back on by 6 PM tonight in some areas, while the damage is still being assessed in others. Less than 10,000 homes are now without power in Bancroft and the surrounding area.
UPDATE #2 – 09/21, 4:45 PM: Hydro One estimates that the power will be back on fully by 10:30 PM tonight. They’ve already reestablished power in over 5,000 homes.
The thunderstorm that is going through Bancroft and the surrounding area has caused major power outages.
Over 17,000 are without power between Maple Leaf and Apsley.
Hydro One is currently assessing the damage. They have no time provided for when the power will be back on.
