It happed just before 8 AM Monday morning on Highway 28 near Butler Drive in Woodview.
The highway was closed between Northey’s Bay Road and Mount Julian Viamede Road after a car travelling northbound hit a pedestrian that was walking on the road. Â OPP kept the stretch of highway closed until 4 PM to investigate the cause of the crash.
Peterborough OPP says the pedestrian has died as a result. The force says no one else was injured.
The identity of the deceased has not been identified.
