The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is advising Bancroft residents that there’s a water safety statement in effect. This means there is no flood warning, but that the public should be careful around fast-moving water, which could be dangerous. The MNRF says most of the snow has melted, but that the water in rivers and streams is high and fast-moving. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly in the coming days.
