North American Safe Boating Awareness Week is fast approaching and this year it has a new partner – the Ontario Conservation Officers Association.
The OCOA joins the Canadian Safe Boating Council in promoting safe boating practices across the continent May 16 to 22.
Their top five safety tips include: wearing a personal flotation device or lifejacket, not drinking and boating, participating in a boat course, preparing yourself and your boat before you head out and knowing the dangers of being immersed in cold water.
