Our local health unit is asking commuters to consider using a mode of transportation, other than a vehicle, next week.
It’s Hastings Prince Edward Public Health’s annual Quinte Commuter Challenge May 31 to June 6. Residents around Belleville, Quinte West and the surrounding areas are encouraged to walk or cycle to work for at least one day in the week. The health unit says being active leads to happier, healthier and more productive employees.
