The Monday afternoon fire in downtown Bancroft is over.
Deputy Fire Chief Matt Musclow says as of 4 PM, the Department is only looking for hotspots or potential flare ups at the Station Street location. Musclow has confirmed that everyone in the building has gotten out safely.
The fire will be under investigation, and crews will be on the scene overnight. However, Musclow says that the fire started in the lower levels and spread to the upper levels.
