It’s been quite a year for the business community in South Algonquin Township.
The group was able to incorporate early in 2021 and was able to make their first small-circulation publication. They also hosted Ontario Minister of Accessibility and Seniors Raymond Cho in October.
In addition, they successfully applied for multiple grants including a $10,000 grant from the Enabling Accessibility Fund, and a $3,000 Community Futures Grant. On top of that, they were able to fundraise a further $2,000.
SABA will wrap up 2021 with a website kickoff meeting on November 19th. They plan on making similar goals for next year, such as re-establishing community bingos to fundraise and continue applying for grants. They also aim to continue with their publication.
