The Centre Hastings OPP is reminding the public of safe boating practices.
Police are asking boaters to avoid alcohol and drugs when on the water, saying boaters face the same charges and suspensions as drivers on the road.
The OPP laid a charge of open liquor and a three-day licence suspension during a marine patrol Saturday afternoon. Police say there was open liquor on-board and that the 56-year old Marmora driver was found to have been drinking.
