Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid several charges after checking a suspicious vehicle in the Township of Highlands East.
On January 12th, 2023, at shortly after 07:30 a.m., officers noticed a suspicious vehicle in Township of Highlands East. As a result of the investigation, two people were arrested.
Charges include Theft Under $5000; Possession Break in Instruments; Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm; And Fail to Comply with Probation Order (two counts).
Both parties have been held in custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on January 15, 2024.
