The OPP is thanking a quick-thinking couple who helped a boater in medical distress.
Police say the couple called 911 when they spotted a small aluminum boat going in circles on Moira Lake in Centre Hastings Wednesday morning. The couple saw the man hanging over the side of the boat. They took their own boat out to help, but were unsuccessful. The couple returned to the boat launch to get five Centre Hastings fire fighters, who stopped the circling boat.
A 52-year old Belleville man was taken to hospital after having a medical episode.
