UPDATE: Highway 28 now open after being closed due to accident near Kawartha Dairy

A multi-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 28 near Kawartha Dairy Wednesday afternoon.

The road was closed in both directions and emergency services were on site.

OPP say there is currently a detour through Monk Road.
