Three local non-profits will be getting support through the upcoming No Frills ‘Thank-You Day’. According to owner Tony McLaughlin, the day is about thanking the community for their continued support over the years.
“Let’s just highlight some of our local community charities that do so much in the community right now” he told MooseFM, “Let’s just raise awareness and get the word out as much as we can.”
According to McLaughlin, there will be a free hot dog BBQ from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (weather permitting) with donations being collected for North Hastings Community Cupboard, as well as a cheque presentation to North Hastings District Hospital Auxiliary for their ‘Give a Little Help’ round-up event.
Bancroft Area Kids in Need will also be on site fundraising.
“They’re gonna have a table set up just to be able to communicate to the community what they do, what they’ve been doing for a long time. And all donations that get given to the Bancroft Area Kids in Need are going to be entered into a draw for a $200 no frills gift card.”
The day will mark the 5 year anniversary of Tony & Jills No Frills.
