From Baptiste to Barry’s Bay, the northern lights were seen across the region on Thursday night.
Ahead of the lights display the weather network had predicted it may happen due to the fact that a solar flare occurred earlier in the week, calling it a ‘powerful explosion on the surface of the sun.’
The flare caused a “massive cloud” of high-energy particles to explode from the sun overnight.
The network had said that the fast-moving solar storm could “spark bright auroras across Canada and the United States when it arrives on Thursday.”
