OPP lay charges in Bob’s Lake boat collision that killed 3 people 

OPP have laid charges in connection with a fatal boating collision on the Buck Bay area of Bobs Lake. 

 

The collision happened on the evening of May 18. Three people died as a result of the crash, and three more sustained injuries.

On Oct. 29, OPP arrested and charged a 44 year old man from South Frontenac with multiple charges including dangerous operation causing death and impaired operation causing death.

The accused was held in custody and scheduled to appear for a bail hearing in Kingston on Oct. 30.

The investigation, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, and in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, involved support from frontline officers, collision reconstructionists, multiple OPP Crime Units, the technical collision investigation team, and forensic identification services.

While charges have been laid, the investigation is ongoing.
