Santa Claus is coming to Bancroft this weekend.
The annual Santa Claus Parade, hosted by the Bancroft Area Lions Club is taking place Saturday in Bancroft.
According to Lions club member Laverne Stapely, who co-organizes the parade with fellow Lion Steve Scalley, the parade will start at 2:30 p.m. at the MTO building.
“We come down Highway 28 across Sherbourne St., down to the Main Street Bridge, around to Hastings St. North, up Hastings St. north to Station Street. Then Santa drops out of the parade by the Santa House and he stays there. And the rest of parade continues back to the MTO.”
Kids will have a chance to visit with Santa Claus after the parade at the Santa House by the post office.
Stapely says that over a dozen floats have already signed up and he expects a great turn out for this years parade.
