It’s going to be a merry time in Combermere this weekend.
The Merry Christmas Market is happening at the Combermere Community Centre.
Market organizer Christine Darbyson says they’ll be offering a wide range of products, many perfect for gifts and the holiday season.
“Our vendors are spectacular, some people have never seen them before. We have new woodworkers, we have people coming up from the studio tours from Maynooth. We have all sorts of soaps and candles, all sorts of healthcare, handmade socks, signs.”
Heartwood Ukrainian restaurant will provide lunch and there will be a variety of baking, including gluten free, as well as things like freeze-dried fruits, candies and maple syrup.
Darbyson says the market day will also be supporting the local foodbank.
“We’re trying to do a drive with our markets to help community need.”
Entry to the market is free but guests are asked to bring a donation for the Madawaska Valley Foodbank, and some vendors will be donating a portion of their sales to the foodbank.
